Employment Opportunities for the 2017-18 School Year

First Grade Teacher

We are currently seeking an experienced, Waldorf-trained teacher for the fall of 2017 to carry a vibrant group of first graders through the grades. Our ideal candidate is fully trained in Waldorf education and holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. We are looking for someone who is warm, enthusiastic, flexible, organized, and has excellent teaching and classroom management skills. Our ideal candidate would also become an active and engaged colleague who would enjoy contributing to the school’s vibrancy and health. We expect to have twenty children in our upcoming first grade, and we would welcome someone who is especially kind, patient, well-spoken, and demonstrates a true love of teaching. We value excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and parents, a commitment to self-development, and an artistic sense for meeting the needs of the children. Building and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents is essential. Qualifications: Waldorf teacher training or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.


Eurythmy Teacher

We are currently seeking a trained and experienced Eurythmy teacher for grades Kindergarten through 8th. We are looking for someone who is warm, enthusiastic, flexible, organized, and has excellent teaching and classroom management skills. In addition to re-introducing Eurythmy to our school, our ideal candidate would also become an active and engaged colleague who would enjoy contributing to the school’s vibrancy and health. We value excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and parents, commitment to self-development and an artistic sense for meeting the needs of the children. Building and maintaining good relationships with students and knowing how to joyfully introduce them to Eurythmy is essential. Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and have completed a full Eurythmy training. A minimum of three years of teaching Eurythmy at a Waldorf school is preferred.

We are a fully accredited AWSNA school, with two pre-schools, two kindergartens, and grades one through eight, with a total of over 200 students.
