History

In 1986 Whatcom Hills Waldorf School opened its doors with a Kindergarten and First Grade. In 1988, the Old Geneva School, the community school founded in 1891, was for sale, and a successful effort was made to purchase the buildings and grounds from the public school district. With great joy the growing Waldorf community was able to move into our present site. From then on the school has grown rapidly and offers a full Kindergarten through Grade 8 curriculum and After School Care Program. The classrooms are bright and colorful, and the grounds offer a garden, hard courts, forest area, and play areas.
"Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives."
