Baba returns for his third visit to Bellingham!
Baba the Storyteller is one of the few recognized U.S. born practitioners of the ancient West African storytelling craft known as Jaliyaa, a living archive of tribal history and heritage shared only through memory and spoken word (and song). He is always accompanied by his Kora, a 21-string instrument which he uses to weave beautiful music into his narrative.
Baba has received numerous awards over the years for his work as a folklorist, traditional harpist, storyteller, community activist and volunteer, and recently developed a new Lion King musical for Disney Cruises.
Experience his masterful, humorous, and heartwarming tales on October 15th from 6-7pm at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship. Doors open at 5:45 and admission is by donation.
We hope to see you there!
