Winter Faire 2024
December 10, 2024Winter Faire 2024 was a joyous occasion! Our community truly came together to bring magic to all who attended:
3rd & 4th Grade built an enchanting Gnome Village, complete with storytellers and a colorful cast of characters, while 1st & 2nd Grades dreamed up a beautiful ice cave for the Crystal Fairy.
Early Childhood and Grades teachers, with support from some admin staff, put on magical Puppet Shows and Marionette Plays to the delight of young audiences!
As always, our inviting classrooms hosted craft workshops that saw busy hands rolling beeswax candles, making felt gnome hats, and decorating wooden ornaments, while the beloved paper stars were sold this year as a take-home craft.
Cheerful cookie servers from the Kindergarten classes staffed the Wooden Spoon Cafe, a warm, bustling place to shake off the dreary weather, while an assortment of students, alumni, and parents shared sweet seasonal music (voice and instruments) for all to enjoy. 8th Grade families also offered hot beverages and pizza at their fundraising table, warming hearts & bellies throughout the day!
We saw so many familiar faces visit our alumni table in Alia Hall, which received visits from students from as far back as 2002 (!), as well as alumni parents who still return to the festivals year after year. Some graduates have children of their own now at the school, while others brought friends and family to experience the magic of Waldorf.
The holiday market in 7th & 8th Grades was a hubub of craftsmanship and creativity, with vendors selling everything from origami earrings and organic soaps to wood-burned art and handmade brooms, along with our student sellers who raised funds for their end of year class trips.
Each and every person who attended Winter Faire added a special element to our event, and we sincerely thank you for celebrating this season with us!
